In this course, we will:

1 - Clarify 5 - 10 values - ways of living that we feel are the most personally meaningful

2 - Understand how our values influence our thoughts, behaviours and goals

3 - Highlight what values we are currently living the most and least

4 - Cultivate a life of greater meaning and purpose, both immediately and long into the future

5 - Create a life mission statement and start delivering on it

About Me

I’m a masters student of Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, and I combine these two psychological fields to help others engage meaningfully with their lives and enhance their well-being.

If you’d like to know a little more about me, my passions, coaching styles and personal story, then I invite you to explore the About Me page of my site.

The Student Journey

We start this course by exploring and gaining an understanding of what values are and how an awareness of them can benefit our lives. We then move onto identifying them by engaging in various values-clarification exercises. After identifying multiple potential values, we will then start to organise and prioritise them, and determine which values we are living the least and most.

We take our awareness of our values a step further by experimenting with defusing from them (not letting them rule and dictate our thinking). We then explore how they influence our lives and we will become familiar with what actions and behaviours we can engage in that allow us to live in line with our values and what we feel is personally important and meaningful.

We conclude the course by creating a Personal Mission Statement that combines our strengths and values into an inspiring and motivating purpose that can help us lead a more meaningful and engaged life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a refund if I'm unhappy with my purchase?

I offer a 30-day money-back-guarantee if you are unsatisfied with any purchase. I advise you do your best to explore the material within the first month of gaining access. After 30 days, I am afraid I will no longer offer a refund.

I want to combine this material with coaching, how do I do this?

If you are certain that you want to combine this material with coaching, then please book a free chemistry session with me before buying anything. I offer special deals and discounts for coaching clients when bulk coaching sessions are purchased.

How long does it take to complete the course?

The time it takes to complete the course is dependent on how frequently we commit time to it, and how quickly we proceed through the material and various exercises. Everyone will do it differently.

The Valued Living course could take anywhere between 5 – 10 hours to complete. I advise spreading the course over roughly 2 - 4 weeks for maximum benefit. Rushing and powering through it might limit our ability for deep and accurate reflection.

What is the ratio of learning to practical exercises?

This course is very practical and hands-on. It contains brief introductory lessons to teach us important information about values. From that point onwards however, the course is packed with various reflection and action exercises.

Do not expect to sit back and simply read through the material. A lot of effort is required on your part. But it is this active effort that leads to the most benefit.

Who is this series for?

This course is ideal for those who want to enhance their understanding of their values and what makes their life meaningful. Do you know what makes your life important? Do you know what makes your life meaningful? Do you know what you want your life to stand for?

This course is best suited to someone who is willing to put in the effort and is committed to making a positive change in their life. It is best if students are in a stable emotional state. Some of the exercises and lessons require a lot of deep reflection, followed by committed action. It might be difficult to fully engage with this course if we are currently engulfed in emotional struggles.

Who is this series not for?

This series might a bit excessive for someone who already has a good understanding of their values. It is possible that they might learn more about themselves by completing the course. However, it might feel a little over the top. If you already have a good understanding of your strengths, but want to explore them a little more, then I encourage you to contact me so we can create a more efficient, custom programme that is more specific to your needs.

If we already have very specific goals in mind e.g. to improve relationships, overcome anxieties, increase confidence or to find meaningful work, then we might benefit from a course or professional who specialises in this particular area.

Another important point to make is that this series isn't designed to teach us how to manage our emotions, or how to overcome significant causes of distress e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma etc. If you are currently experiencing significant distress and emotional struggles, then I encourage you to seek specific professional advice e.g. with a counsellor or therapist.

Can I complete this series on my phone?

The introductory part of the course can be completed using a phone, e.g. the educational component on values, as it consists mainly of reading. However the bulk of the material requires interactive use of Google Drive programmes such as Google Docs and Google Sheets. Completing these exercises and having the freedom to express ourselves in the reflections will likely be difficult to do using a small phone touchscreen. A computer is advised for these activities.
